This eclectic, family oriented neighborhood lies within the unincorporated area of Ojai. Close to downtown and schools, Meiners Oaks features local restaurants including the Farmer and the Cook and Papa Lennon’s. It is also home to the Besant Meadows and the Ojai Retreat Center. The Ventura River Bottom runs alongside Meiners Oaks. Here you can find swimming holes, hiking and horesback riding. Located in the midsection of the Ojai Valley, Miramonte is surrounded by the communities of Meiners Oaks and Oak View. The population is approximately 6,800. A lovely bike path passes through the area which can take you all the way through the end of town to the beaches in Ventura. With the River bottom on one end and the mountains on the other, Miramonte has a unique country feel, yet still close to town. Lake Casitas is also located in the area of Miramonte. This year round recreational lake is well known for it’s 400 camping sites, fishing, boating, biking, hiking and even a small water park.
